Stepping up plans for the Bahamas film industry channel and more...

Time Warner building  attracts The Megavision Network.

Stars In Paradise have heard from sources familiar with the situation, that The Megavision Network has already began the process of evaluating its real estate needs.  Talks could begin as early as next month in an attempt to reach an acquisition deal on the Time Warner building at Columbus Circle in New York City.

As the Time Warner headquarters is reportedly considering a wide range of options, as it evaluates its own real estate needs, there is a strong possibility that some deal could be reached before the end of the year between The Megavision Network and Time Warner. Time Warner owns and occupies space in 15 buildings in New York metropolitan area.

In other updates, Stars In Paradise moves forward in the deal to launch its all Bahamian channel, on The Megavision Network and is undergoing a rapid recruitment process to secure its executive team.

Keep up with starsinparadise.com for the latest developments in the global scope of the Bahamas indigenous movie market.

Part II Positioning Yourself For Money In The Bahamas Film Industry

Continuing the conversation on "Positioning Yourself For Money" from Jan. 25th 2013 concerning the importance of trust and mentorship in the Bahamas movie and television industry.

Your mentor can be very instrumental in engineering the kind of deals, large enough to generate the kind of income for the making of your first project.  Your mentor should be a producer, meaning (a very creative person with money).  He/she will show you how to earn money, it may require some sacrifice, that may take you out of your comfort zone, but once you’ve earned the money it is yours.  You will then be in the driver’s seat to steer your own project debt free.

We will follow this up later in Stars In Paradise magazine to give you the tools you would need to attract such a person. There are many within the Bahamas cinema culture, the key is knowing what to do and what to say and most of all how to conduct your  affairs to gain their confidence. - starsinparadise.com

Jefford Curre'.
Could he be among the few
 positioned well enough
     to take the Bahamas
 movie industry to the
next level?

Part 1 Million dollar secrets of the Bahamas Film Industry

              Closely
Guarded Secrets of
“Made For Movie” Money

If you are new in the film/entertainment business, your biggest problem will be finding finances for your film.  Though there are many options you can take, more than likely you may only be aware of a few.  Such as:  applying for grants, borrowing money from banks, relatives or friends.  These channels very often do not work out for the artist in the long run, but it is a quick way to get into the game.

The best way to finance a film is in an investment consortium, under the guidance of a mentor, who by the way can be very instrumental in helping you to acquire your own money eventually.  Oh, did I say the taboo controlling word, "mentor"?  Yes, mentor.  Mentor in this day and age?  Yes, a mentor is someone who activates the humility within you that creates an atmosphere for learning or connecting to a higher level.  This person is usually someone you wish to be like and someone secure enough  not to worry about the possibility of you succeeding beyond him or her, should fate have it to be.  The truth of the matter is, if the relationship is  structured properly neither parties would have to be concerned about ending up in an odd or seemingly strained relationship position. Your success will automatically lead to further success for your mentor as it is the law of nature. Extremely successful people working in the Bahamas Film Industry all understand this concept and benefit greatly from it.

For more on how this relationship is structured stay tuned to starsinparadise.com

Young filmmakers move up faster at Bahamasfilmindustry.com

Tips for up and coming filmmakers in the Bahamas or anywhere else.

Bahamasfilmindustry.com is making it easy for start ups to move ahead quickly,  by pushing the limits of qualifications, accountability and credentials. Believe it or not you can get some meaningful movie experience just by watching a variety of different movies and paying close attention to things like lighting, the angles of shots, the type of music for certain scenes etc... . However, just watching movies won’t complete the package, find someone who is making movies consistently and talk your way onto the team, even if you have to start as a production assistant standing by to take care of small chores that pop up throughout the day.  Even this could be a tough position to get into, but if you offer to work just for experience or deferred payment, more than likely you will beat out the competition.   You could end up in a position which will ultimately lead to making money.

You can also utilize your local bookstore or library and read a book about film making, find one that can teach you all the technical things you need to know about film making. This Fall the megavisionkingdom.com will offer a wide range of opportunities for young movie makers that really mean business. They won't be free, then again nothing worthwhile ever is.- starsinparadise.com

First round of development deals for movie-makers will be announced at Bahamas Film Industry press conference.

How did JEFFORD CURRE'  Paradise Intrigue
benefit from Megavision Pictures development start-up deal?

While most artists require a major PR campaign and millions of dollars each year to keep their career alive, for some strange reason, it seems that  Jefford Curre’  is getting away with a whole lot less.  According to a Megavision Pictures filed report issued in 2004, he’s not really getting away at all.  He has paid his dues in personal sacrifices beyond your wildest dreams, and has clearly earned a right to succeed without compromise or apology.  In the beginning Megavision Pictures spent an insane amount of money establishing his "key man" position.  Apparently, they had little or no doubts about his ability to make it this far.

Today, he’s riding mostly on momentum, as the Bahamas indigenous movie industry approaches a whole new exciting phase.  Jefford Curre’ is considered by many to be one of, if not  the most influential figure in the game.   The achievements of his near impossible missions have established him as a serious force to  be reckoned  with.  But according to those that make up the core of his entourage,  Jefford Curre’ is far from serious.  He’s responsible, yes, but definitely not serious.

Coming in March 2013 Stars In Paradise magazine will have the first run exclusive access behind the scene and into the jet-setting lifestyle of the Bahamas leading man of action. It will be his first interview since the Wall Street Journal featured him in the article ''The Networking Game''. Keep up with Stars In Paradise  daily, it's about to get hot.  starsinparadise.com

Oh, we almost forgot Megavision Pictures has announced the projects that has made it into its first round of development for 2013. Stars In Paradise will be giving you the update daily as it unfold.

Positioning yourself for movie money

Whether you’re an international money launderer posing as a banker, or a relative of pirates who went legit at the turn of the  century, you already know about  the buried treasure that still lies yet undiscovered in, the Bahamas

Countless sad stories of weak filmmakers who regrettably sold their integrity and allowed themselves to be manipulated by people just to get some money.

Megavisionkingdom.com the in-house training division of Megavision Pictures runs a very interesting program that teaches filmmakers, not only how to make films, but more importantly, how to attract money without losing their own identity.  If the filmmaker loses identity and integrity, he has nothing different to offer his starving audience.  When this happens he is no longer unique and his days are numbered.

Filmmakers, practically, in the new emerging global Bahamas film market, might find it not a bad idea to establish their position before forming close working relationships with foreign entities.  In other words you must establish a structure that identifies you and demonstrate internal accountability.  This is important for some very good reasons.

Make no mistake about it, whoever you ask for money will proposition you with a list of conditions.  The key is to find the company that echoes the sentiments that you stand for. For example, if your films or film festival is about spreading democracy, don’t expect the grant organization that believes in dictatorship to fund you.  You will have to change your mind about the governing process and demonstrate that change vividly before you can get the money.

<!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif
How many times have you seen filmmakers or film festival operators start out with good intentions about producing movies that encourage good will among all mankind.  Very often we realize after a year or so, their press release starts selling them as an extremist in either race,  creed, color or religion.  This happens because real structure and accountability was missing at the beginning.  There was no clear mission of conviction. To be continued on starsinparadise.com...

Bahamas movie industry. A worldwide thing.

The expansion of Megavision Pictures and the rise of the Bahamas film industry.

Megavision Pictures has succeeded in  improving the entry level protocol for  box-office entrepreneurs. They have successfully engineered a  level playing field that has positioned them to capitalize on the acquisition of key game changing infrastructures.  With an open door invitation to more than 48 countries, Megavision Pictures industry power players could aggressively lead private sector funding of programs and initiatives that works well with local government, and the growing needs of  box-office entrepreneurs.

Out of 86 proposals received over the past 24 months, only 20 have reached a point of consideration.  Even fewer will make it to the finish line.  All proposals are vigorously discussed and debated by Megavision Pictures review division.  The grinding principle in their  decision making process is to determine a core champion excellence that the company can support in the individual, as they explore the  highest commercial potential within the submitted material.
