Positioning yourself for movie money

If you’re an international money launderer posing as a banker, or a relative of pirates who went legit at the turn of the  century,  you already know about the undiscoverd buried treasures of the Bahamas.

Why do some film industry operators end up out of operation or regrettably sold out to people who don't really care about anything other than money?
Megavision Kingdom, the in-house training division of Megavision Pictures runs a very interesting program that teaches filmmakers, not only how to make films, but more importantly, how to attract money without losing their own vision.  If the filmmaker loses vision he/she loses identity and integrity. When this happens he has nothing different to offer his starving audience and is no longer unique. At this point  the filmmakers' days are numbered.
Filmmakers in the new emerging global Bahamas film market, might find it not a bad idea to establish their position before forming close working relationships with foreign entities.
Make no mistake about it, whoever you ask for money will proposition you with a list of conditions.  The key is to find the company that echoes the sentiments that you stand for. For example, if your films or film festival is about spreading democracy, don’t expect the grant organization that believes in dictatorship to fund you.  You will have to change your mind about the governing process and demonstrate that change vividly before you can get the money.

Jefford', at the forefront, in command and setting new challenges for the Bahamas movie industry.

Jefford Curre' the Bahamas leading man of action is taking no prisoners. He's closing multi-million dollar deals, that's taking the Bahamas movie industry to the next level.

Happy in his role as an extremely successful artist, Jefford Curre’ is trying his best not to be an activist or a motivator of any kind. However, his uncontestable lead role in the pioneering of the Bahamas Film Industry, makes this very difficult. His pioneering actions, are constantly celebrated as one of the most admired, when it comes to visionary community leadership. Community leaders around the globe have made “The Jefford Curre’ Story” a part of their most reliable studies for motivating people to work against the odds. “It was an awakening”, said one clergyman, comparing Jefford Curre’ to a young Moses, calling him a leader sent by God to lead his people into a new world of box-office excitement. “His bold act”, continued the charismatic clergyman, “Instantly shifted the focus of a people, mentally trapped, in the success of the tourist trade. It sparked a journey toward a brand new number one industry. An industry that would be well within the control of the people of the Bahamas.”

A former Paradise Intrigue production member, who now works as an executive in a highly classified department of government, expressed his concerns for artistic integrity within the Bahamas new number one industry. In an off camera interview he indicated that the rapid rise of newcomers and the elusive high security profile of Jefford Curre’, could by some degree leave room for confusion. There are still a few who may be ignorant of the natural history of the Bahamas indigenous film industry or the Bahamas’ first movie, “Paradise Intrigue”. “For what it is worth, it appears that Jefford Curre’s indigenous pioneering position, is one of the most sought after in the entire industry. It seems that almost every new comer takes the opportunity to enjoy at least 15 minutes of fame, being mistaken as the one that started it all. It’s almost bordering on comedy. We have seen campaign after campaign fall flat on its face. Even with the most expensive well planned attempts, it has proven to be an extremely difficult historical position to steal. I believe there are very good reasons for this. Jefford Curre’ is not only a hard act to follow, his achievements are documented well ahead of the crowd. There is no way to over look, erase or pretend they never took place".

Young filmmakers move up faster at Bahamasfilmindustry.com

Bahamasfilmindustry.com is making it easy for start ups to move ahead quickly, by pushing the limits of qualifications, accountability and credentials. Believe it or not you can get some meaningful movie experience just by watching a variety of different movies and paying close attention to things like lighting, the angles of shots, the type of music for certain scenes etc... . However, just watching movies won’t complete the package, find someone who is making movies consistently and talk your way onto the team, even if you have to start as a production assistant standing by to take care of small chores that pop up throughout the day. Even this could be a tough position to get into, but if you offer to work just for experience or deferred payment, more than likely you will beat out the competition. You could end up in a position which will ultimately lead to making money.

You can also utilize your local bookstore or library and read a book about film making, find one that can teach you all the technical things you need to know about film making. This Fall the megavisionkingdom.com will offer a wide range of opportunities for young movie makers that really mean business. They won't be free, then again nothing worthwhile ever is.- starsinparadise.com
